You can choose a button from a Fireworks library or from another Fireworks document. When you import a button from an external source, Fireworks remembers the source. Then, if the source file changes, you can update the imported button to reflect the changed original.
To insert a ready-made button into the document:

Choose Insert > Libraries > Other and choose the button library or Fireworks document from which you want to insert a button. |

Choose Open to navigate to a button library outside of the Fireworks 3 \ Settings \ Libraries folder. |
2 | Choose a symbol from the library and click Import. |

To update an imported button:
1 | In the Library panel, select the button symbol to update. |
2 | Choose Update from the Library panel Options pop-up. |
Fireworks updates the imported button to match the appearance of the original button. | |
